This was the second date of our Italian "tour" (is two shows a "tour"? or is it just "two shows"?). After a rather dismal performance the night before, we blearily fought our way through the strike-clogged Milano train station to get on one of the few trains still heading south. Recipe for bad gig juju reversal: several hours of train travel down the sun-baked Ligurian coastline + two or three overpriced but critically frigid beers + a warm welcome at the Pisa train station, after which we were whisked away into the Tuscan countryside and the tiny town of Nodica.

The venue was somehow a full-blown recording studio in a little farmhouse. While waiting for things like amplifiers and drinks to arrive, we wandered out the front door and around the corner into an unexpectedly waiting enoteca to enjoy a splendid aperitivo in the afternoon sun like proper gentlemen. After dinner the scene moved out into the front yard for twilight cigarettes and wine amidst a field of fireflies. Eventually we plugged in and played in a small (and indeed, red) live room for a perfectly-sized audience whose enthusiasm and attention managed to finish putting Humpty Dumpty back together again. Thanks to everyone for a great night.
